AI funding took a hard turn toward robots, infrastructure, and extremely large numbers this week.

DeepSeek reportedly hauled in $7.4B. XPENG Robotics crossed $900M. Gatik and Generalist each grabbed roughly $200M. Somewhere along the way, a $100M robotics round started feeling almost normal.

The robots are getting funded. The infrastructure underneath them is getting funded. Even the electricity problem is getting funded.

Let’s get into it.

The best voice models now listen, adapt, and resolve too.

Most CX platforms don't own the voice. They orchestrate a workflow, then call a third party for speech and transcription. Every hop adds latency, and latency is what turns a frustrated customer into a churned one.

ElevenAgents is the opposite. Built on the voice models the market already builds on, it runs voice, transcription, chat, and reasoning in one vertically integrated pipeline. Responses come back in under 400 milliseconds and sound human, not synthetic. When a caller gets frustrated, the agent detects it and shifts tone in real time: calm, reassuring, patient.

You keep full control. Plug in any LLM, connect tools, webhooks, and MCP servers, and ground every answer in your knowledge base. Launch in minutes, A/B test with Experiments, enforce Guardrails, and version every change.

More resolved conversations, less infrastructure stitching. Pricing is transparent and flat at $0.08 per minute.

🦄 Startups to Watch:

Generalist AI – Robotics is still fragmented across thousands of machines built for different jobs. Generalist is betting the valuable layer sits above the hardware, building general-purpose intelligence that can transfer across robots rather than tying its fate to one humanoid design.

Keenable – AI agents are turning the internet into infrastructure for machines as much as humans. Keenable is building the search layer specifically for those agents, positioning itself around the increasingly important problem of giving autonomous systems reliable access to fresh information.

Transfyr – Scientific labs contain huge amounts of valuable knowledge that never makes it into structured datasets. Transfyr is capturing how experiments are actually performed and turning that knowledge into training data for Physical AI systems capable of eventually executing the work themselves.

Emerald AI – Electricity is becoming one of AI’s biggest constraints. Emerald is attacking the problem through software, letting data centers shift their power consumption around grid conditions instead of waiting years for entirely new energy infrastructure to arrive.

📡 Signals – What This Week Tells Us:

  • Robotics suddenly has serious money behind it. XPENG Robotics, Generalist, Gatik, PsiBot, Transfyr, Agentrys, Motion, and Airbound collectively pulled in well over $1.4B. The investment opportunity around Physical AI is spreading across robot brains, autonomous vehicles, training systems, drones, and deployment infrastructure.

  • China’s AI capital machine is getting louder. DeepSeek’s reported $7.4B raise and XPENG Robotics’ $900M+ round put two Chinese companies at the very top of this week’s funding board. Chinese capital is concentrating around both frontier models and embodied AI.

  • Power is officially part of the AI stack. Emerald AI raised $150M to make data center power demand more flexible, while HexSeed is attacking chip cooling and efficiency. AI infrastructure increasingly includes the grid, thermal management, and every watt between the power plant and the GPU.

  • Agents are creating their own infrastructure market. Keenable is building search for agents. Arga Labs is giving them environments to practice inside. Runable is pushing them into everyday workflows. Ringg is doing the same thing over the phone. The agent economy is developing picks and shovels of its own.

  • AI M&A just jumped a weight class. Nvidia reportedly agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.9B, while strategic buyers including Elastic, Gamma, Socure, NEURA Robotics, and AWS picked up smaller pieces of the AI stack. The infrastructure land grab is moving into acquisition mode.
